Default Do you tip at Supper Club?

Gee, I'm so grateful to this message board - it has been very helpful to me!

Are we supposed to tip at Supper Club? If so, how do we figure it?

Yes we tip in addition to but no it is not required as the nominal fee/charge includes the gratuity. The only time we didn't was on Holland and they came around to say thank you for coming and never gave us a bill. We preordered and paid via internet 6 weeks before.

The Supper Club on the Glory, I think it is called David's, is our all time favorite and we tipped accordingly about 5 or 10 more. Enjoy!

The Glory's Supper Club is called the Emerald Room and it's wonderful; as I'm sure they all are.

I think they added a gratuity on top of the service charge, but we were a table of eight so I don't know if they do that for all tables or just large parties.

It was really worth it, excellent food and great service.

So when you tip at the supper club do you give your server cash or do you sign an S&S charge slip and add the gratuity there?

I believe you sign your S and S card for the tips just like you do everything else. Dont part with your greenbacks. You will need them to feed the slot machines as they are hungry too.

We tipped on the Glory last week. $5 a person...we did it in cash.

And yes, it is the Emerald Supper Club.

Thanks for the clarification on the Supper Club name. It was 6 years ago so maybe our great waiter was David...no worries. We added the tip to the bill and I think it was $5/pp=$10. I remember I loved the butter dish so much but it was $35 on board. A couple weeks after the cruise I happened to be shopping in PicNSave now Big Lots and they had identical ones, not fine China of course, but they were 2 for $5! We use them all the time.

One of the other ships has a supper club named David's, with a large statue replica. Made more discreet of course. I think it was the Sensation, but I could very well be wrong about that.

Thanks, Bob. The only problem I have with having done so many cruises is that details can get really blurry!

I tipped at the Emerald Club. Had to ditch some weight before dragging my sagging belly back to the cabin. Great food, world class service, whats not to like?

The $30 surgharge includes the gratuity. If you wish to tip something extra it should be done in cash. You cannot put extra tips for the supper club on the S&S card. I tip extra because the service on three cruises has been excellent as well as the food.

Off the Splendor May 17th. Went to the Pinnacle SC one night and did put extra tip on the S&S card. They brought a check to the table when we were finished and it had a line for tip.

First of all the Emerald Room on the Glory is GREAT!!! As I am sure all of the Supper Clubs are and well worth the small charge. As was stated the $30 per person charge includes your tip, unless you are in a large group. We tipped on top of that due to the excellent service we recieved. We just added it onto our S & S when they brought the bill. Its just like when you tip back home on a credit card. Enjoy your trip and the Emerald Room.
