Default Help!! Destiny or Imagination???

I am booking a cruise for this summer and was wondering what one is better, the Carnival Destiny or the Imagination. I am going with the hubby, a 16, 15 and 14 year old girls. Thanks for your help.

Destiny is a bit larger but Imagination has all the water park updates so you have two great choices. For me it would come down to which ports you would rather visit. 8)

It does come down to ports !
Cozumel: a fan favorite...I would say. A great deal to do.
Half Moon Key: a great beach day. No shore excursion ticket needed=simply get off the ship onto the tender. They even cooked a lunch for us. if a day at the beach is one's primary criterion, this gets my vote.
Grand Cayman: lovely island, classy, lovely beaches. touristy and a bit boring for anyone NOT wishing to get wet.
Jamaica: nice if part of a resort or tour group..Don't go at it alone. Not for anyone who does their own tours off the beaten path.
Nassau: a lovely town with colonial charm.
that's just MY take !

We like the five night on the Destiny that does Halfmoon Cay, Grand Turk and Nassau. If you go w/the Destiny you can book a cabin w/a balcony without booking a suite, thats another option to consider?

I also agree you should look at the ports and consider that. I don't think
you can go wrong w/either ship? We have been on both.

I have been on both as well and prefer the Destiny, or any larger ship.

I'm sure you'll have a great cruise no matter which one you go with

I loved Imagination pre-refurbishing and I wouldn't hesitate to take three teens on it post-refurbishing. It's a fun ship like Inspiration.
