After reviewing the excursions offered by Carnival (and yes we know they are usually expensive but sometimes peace of mind is worth it ) we wondered if it is possible to tour the island by ourselves. Are there any modes of transportation (golf carts, mini-buggys, etc) available for rent? We were there in January but just did the area by the pier. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! Oh yes, we will there in August on the Liberty.
We were there last January and I recall seeing some vans in and around the small shopping area. I am pretty sure you can do a tour that way? It
is a small island known mostly for its really nice beach, which you aware of. Grand Turk is our favorite stop!! No need to buy a tour w/Carnival.
