Default early saver bookings

Can you book any cruise or do they have a selected few to choose from...and if you can, can you also book a 8-9 months out cruise...or is it just the next few months?

Book an early saver sailing and save up to 30%.
Simply book 3 months in advance for a short cruise, or 5 months in advance for a
cruise lasting at least 6 days, and save up to 30%! And you can rest assured you're
getting our absolute lowest rate. If, after booking, you find a lower Carnival advertised
fare, Carnival will match it and issue you the difference in an onboard credit.

I would imagine the criuse would have to be quite a few months out otherwise they wouldn't have the early saver program... the early saver for my cruise dissappeared about 2 months ago...

I was looking to see if they are selected cruises, or if all future cruises applied. And it states 5 onths....what about Spring of next year...can they be booked under the early-saver now?

For a six day or longer cruise you have to book at least 5 months out. So yes, you can book a cruise for 2010 under the Early Saver program. I booked my November cruise 7 months ago. Just be sure to read the fine print so you know exactly how the rules apply. The programs are for all Carnival cruises until they announce that the programs are ending. My thought is that the ES was established to assure the ships are being booked during the current economic downturn.

Default early saver

2 weeks ago I booked a cruise for April 2010 using the early saver. Going on the Pride with my 5yr old grandson. Leaving out of Baltimore with a stop in Port Canaveral....we will have an excursion in Disney World.

Wow 2 weeks ago I also booked a cruise. That cruise is for February of 2011 on the Miracle, same cabin as before, we loved it. Thankfully we don't have to wait until then to Cruise . I have scheduled 2 for us next year.

I don't think the cruises themselves are limited, but there are a limited number of cabins available at the Early Saver rate. When we booked our cruse the ES rate for Cat 6A and 8A were no longer available. But there were cabins available in other rates.

Just watch your timing. I had my eye on an Early Saver price for this Aug. My TA said that price disappears about 5 months out. I booked the trip on 3/25 for a 8/22 sailing and 2 days later, the price was gone. Talk about cutting it close.

Also remember, the deposit is non-refundable if you book under the ES price. Really, it's the cheapest price we found anywhere so it's a good deal if you are 100% comfortable committing.

We just booked a cruise for April 2010. We are watching the rates now too. But I doubt if they will go down. But worth the try to keep checking. Happy cruising!!

Yep, keep checking because I did book the ES and about a month later found it even cheaper on the Carnival site and got the refund. Good luck!

Hubby and I and two friends just booked a cruise for Sept 2010.
We got a great ES rate a month ago when we booked. Went checking on rates and found that we got a great deal, as the ES rate we got is no longer available. We're happy --- Hawaii here we come.

HI..

We did the five night on the Destiny this past January. We got a good rate on a balcony cabin! When we got home we booked the exact same cruise package for January 2010 and saved 220.00 from what we paid this past January.

We were very pleased and we are the kind of people that just have to have a cruise booked. We have to have a break from the Wisconsin winters. The non-refundable deposit is no big deal for us as we will be doing our cruise! If you find your cruise on the ES book it!!

The ES rates are good prices when you book them, but the fares still seem to drop for a short time between 3 and 5 monthe before the cruise then rise back up again. Check often because sometimes the fare is only low for 2 or 3 days.
