Default sensation or destiny??

Hi everyone,

I am planning on taking my 13 yr old daughter on a cruise next april and cant decide on the Sensation or the Destiny. She mainly is interested in going to Atlantis and enjoying the water slides and the aquarium and also swimming with the dolphins.

After reading reviews I was leaning more on the Sensation and doing the dolpin excuriosn in freeport and then just spending the day at Atlantis.

But I would like to go to Half moon key and Grand Turk.

Soooo can anyone give me some feedback on these . Is there enough time to do the dolphins, aquarium and the water slides in one day??

Thanks for the info

Char;

If you can afford it I would do the five night that does Grand Turk, Halfmoon Cay and Nassau. We will be doing this cruise 1/25/10 and it
will be our 3rd time doing it. The first time we did the Imagination and the
next two times it will be the Destiny. If you want to book a balcony you
can book that on the Destiny w/o booking a suite. I am not sure if the Sensation has added some balcony cabins to some of there oceanview cabins? I know some of the Fantasy class ships were adding balconies.

I am not sure you could do ALL that you want to do while in Nassau?
We never get past Senor Frogs right by the pier! I know you can go and see Atlantis. I believe there are many other tours, excurisons as well.

We posted a short review on our last Destiny cruise! Was just awesome!

I think "Destiny" was refurbed very recently, and the added day would also make me lean toward "Destiny". Either would be very good, but I absolutely would do "Destiny", if it was my decision.

Dstiny! Its larger and nicer.

be careful about the dolphin encounters... make sure you are doing the one where you actually get to be with the dolphins, not just petting the dolphin for one minute. In Acapulco i was able to swim with them and all... it was amazing!

Haven't been to Atlantis, so not sure.

That's a decision you and your travel group must make since I don't know what you like or don't enjoy.
Sensation is 4 days and visits Freeport & Nassau?
Destiny is 5 days and goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau?
Looks to me like unless one absolutly wishes to visit Freeport, that the Destiny itinerary is much better. Bigger ship+ longer cruise + more ports= better cruise 8) ....most of the time.

Thanks for all the replies.

The main reason for the cruise is my daughter wants to swim with the dolphins and go to Atlantis and going on a cruise to do these 2 things is cheaper than jsut going there and staying. I haven't seen many good reviews on the dolphin excursion at Atlantis and I'm not sure we would have enough time during the Atlantis excursion on the Destiny to do all that is included.
