I’m getting ready to book air fare for my cruise Dec14th . They have a 12:00 pm flight going home. Is that to early of a flight to try and make?? Our port is Tampa if that makes a difference. Or should we play it safe and take the 2:00 pm flight home?

Not knowing how far the airport is from the port, if its fairly close, I would think the noon flight would be fine. What time are you scheduled to get into port?
We get back to port at 8:00 am. I know we can hang out on the ship for alittle or just get off. Don't think Tampa airport is to far I need to check.
Maybe we should just make it 2;00. When hanging around the ship that morning can you sit on deck and have breakfast? What time do they throw you off?

Areogirl.......you should be fine with a 12:00 pm departure from Tampa.
You should be off the ship by 9:30 am or sooner. I recently completed a cruise on Legend last month and experienced the best ever debarkation with Carnival in Tampa.
I was one of the last to get off ship and I was picking up my bag in terminal around 9:30 am. Took a van to airport, 20 min drive, for the fee of $10 per person. Taxi's run $25 to airport.
P.S. When you wake up in the morning of arrival in Tampa, the ship is already docked.
I'm a big fan of hanging around the ship as long as possible until they kick me off. That's usually around 11am. Yes you can have breakfast and morning bevs.

Other than arriving very late at port you will have no trouble making a 12:00 p.m. flight.
If you are off the ship by 10:00 a.m. this will allow time to make it to the airport, get through security and get to your gate.
Have a wonderful cruise!

My Husband and I just got off the Inspiration 2 weeks ago in Tampa. The airport is about 45 mins from the port of Tampa. We booked a 5:30 flight thinking if something happen to the ship and we came in late that morning we would be ok with that time.. Well we got off the ship around 10:00 and ended up sitting at the airport for hours.. I think your 12:00 flight might be cutting it close. But around 1:00 or 2:00 you will be fine. Good luck and have a great cruise.
We just returned from our cruise last Sunday. We left the ship in Miami at 9 am and went all the way to the Ft. Lauderdale airport in 30 minutes. We were at the airport at 9:30 and our fight was at 3 pm. If you are to concerned, you can get the 2 pm flight but you should be Ok with the Noon flight. Debarkcation is a breeze especially if you take your luggage when leaving. Hope this helps and have fun.
