I have not been in the pool but looking at it thru the glass it looked more like a very large jacuzzi. It is extra charge but I think included with certain spa pkgs or spa cabin. 8)
It has been a few months....so I am trying to remember.
If I bent down on my knees...the water came up to my chin. I am 5' 9"...so that may give you an idea of the depth.
There is one LONG metal (I know that sounds uncomfortable but it isn't) lounger that goes the entire length of the pool.
And then were are other spots at the end.

Yes, I've been told about the extra charge but we are booked in the Spa Balcony on deck 11, it's very exiciting to try something new. (area on the ship)
Both our other cruises our cabins were mid ship. But I have heard good things about our location, so far anyway.
I heard the charge was somewhere around $30 per day, I'm not sure if that charge includes any extras like the saunas or steam rooms.
(those are also included with the spa balcony)
Ferranqi--it is a $40 a day charge to use both the thalasso pool and specialty steam baths. The normal steamroom/sauna is no charge, but if you want a Turkish Bath, well, you pay for access to the room.....
The thalasso pool is a whirlpool, so it would be the same depth as a typical whirlpool....

When we were on the Splendor it was $35 a day for a paper wristband that gets you into all the areas that the Spa wristband gets you in.
You come and go as you please. That was in November so the price could have gone up since then to $40....I am not sure.
For the $35, you got the pool, relaxation rooms, Turkish sauna, a regular sauna and a cool down room. The relaxation room was neat. It had heated ceramic lounge chairs....one that overlooked the sea.
If I were going to spend the money for one day....personally I would make it a port day (if there is a port that you have been to a bunch) ..so that it would not be to crowded.
It was never crowded for us...but that was when it was still new. I would imagine the popularity has grown from word of mouth.
