Default spa??

I have never had a massage and think that would be the ultimate relaxation on my cruise, my question is what is the best thing to do and about how much does this cost? Thanks everyone

To be honest, in our opinion, the spa is the most overpriced/overhyped service on the ship.

Sure its nice and or convenient to have the hair or nails done but the hard sell tactics are annoying.

To answer the question----they have specials on the services but as I recall the massages never got below 60/hr.

You can do much better at home or on the beach in Cozumel/Progresso.

If you register on the carnival website and enter your booking number it will show you your Registration. If you click the button plan activities you can book spa treatments on line. There aren't a lot of spa treatments listed on my booking. But it's in May 2010 so maybe that is why.

Be careful about booking a facial, a facial opens up the pores and can cause pimples to come to the surface of the skin. Not what you want in the formal night picture. .I have hear the Hot Stone massage is good. I don't see the hot stone massage on here, I know Carnival does it. Oh here we are this is from the Unoffical site so the prices might not match this. The hot stone treatment is called

I do agree with you the port prices are a little better. But my favorite day spa charges $99 for a 75 minute heated stone massage. The Carnival site I found is almost double that price.

My wife got a 40 minute massage and a 15 minute facial last summer for $129.00. It was a special and she loved it. I am a certified massage therapist and the prices charged on cruise ships are alot more than what I charge. However, it is your vacation so why not indulge and have fun!

Ive done the port day specials, and they start around 60.00 and once you book one, sometimes they call the next day to fill a "cancelation" they received. If they get a cancelation they offer you the same treatment at the same appt time to fill that spot for 1/2 price.

If you cancel your original appt they charge you 50% of the full price anyway.
