also, what I recommend for the ladies, is to make wardrove simple. Bring a variety of white "bottoms" to pair with different colored tops of all sizes. For example, I bring a long white slowing peasant skirt to wear to dinner with different dressy camisoles or short-sleeved tunic tops each night. Of course, a nice dress (floor-length blue halter dress) for formal night(s) and black flat sandals to wear with it. Then, a pair of white shorts and a few tank tops and braided tanks to alternate with the shorts during the day. Finally, a pair of white capris that can go either during ithe day with a tank or at night with a camisole. One pair of white flat sandals which goes with all the bottoms. One pair of walking shoes or Dr. Scholls gel heeled sandals for excursions involving lots of walking. One swimsuit. This allows me to travel with only one carry on, and no other luggage.
If you are going to a cold climate, make black the primary "bottoms" color.
Make sure that all items dry well over night or over two nights. So, you can wear the white shorts one oday, if they get dirty, you can wash them and hang them to dry, then wear the white capris the next day.
If you have two formal nights, the long flowy cotton peasant skirt (in style now so go buy it; it's a timeless classic) works for the 2nd formal night, with your dressiest/sexiest camisole, and a nice crocheted black shawl.
Not only does this plan make it easy to know what to wear but it makes packing and dressing on your trip fast - since everything goes with white (or black), you just pull out the bottoms, and pull out any top.
