Default You Just Won............

A free Caribbean cruise...Your choices are... the best suite on the ship, for a 7 day cruise.........or, a longer cruise, in an inside cabin, what would you do?

Grab what may be the only chance to experience the luxe life? Or, take the inside, and say, I can do that

That is a very hard question. I have cruised more in a inside cabin then balcony. But now that I have cruised in a balcony... Well I am spoiled now. I love a balcony. Not sure i can do a inside anymore. Even tho I can afford a inside much better. I jsut have to spend that extra. So sad when I say it and hear myself. But i would pick a balcony.....

Easy - I will take the suite. No more inside cabins for this cruiser. Once you move up it is very difficult to go back. Those of you still happy with inside cabins stay there and save a lot of future money.

Since it's the Caribbean, it will be the balcony!! I need to be able to go outside if the cabin feels hot and enclosed. I just went to Canada in an inside room. So I have gone back to an inside after a balcony.

I guess it would depend more on where each one went which I would choose.

We have only once had a balcony and that was an upgrade. While it was nice it didn't keep me in the cabing more than in an inside. I'm not a on any cruise to sit in my cabin or private balcony. I want to see people and meet people, so give me a nice pool area.

I'll take the suite! I probably would never pay for one otherwise so I'll take the freebie.

I've never had an inside cabin and don't think I'd ever consider one.

I would take the longer cruise. Have done the higher end cabins and, while they were very nice, I would much rather have more cruising. Especially if there were extra ports that I had not been to yet.

It's depends are tips included in my cruise price? How much longer is the cruise? If it's only an eight day cruise, I would take the suite. If tips were not included and it was a 14 day cruise I might still take the suite and save myself an extra $140 (my hubby and me) in tips. If tips are included and it's 12 days or longer it's an inside cabin for me. How is that for over thinking the question.

Well, I think we have a couple of things going on here...

First, I've never had an inside cabin before so I have nothing to compare it with. In fact one was a cat 11 and the other was an extended balcony.

Second, How much longer are we talking? If it's only 2 or 3 days, then definately I would take the suite. If it's a matter of 5-7 days then I think I wouldn't mind checking out the inside cabin and enjoying a longer cruise.

Third, did you say the nicest suite on the ship? Definately I would take the suite. Now if it was an ordinary balcony then I would prob extend my cruise on the inside....
BTW Cool Question!

Give me the longer criuise. I have had a balcony and it was nice but I would rather have more cruise.

I would take the suite in a heartbeat! I've had a OV on the Holiday (1991), five balconies on Deck 6-10, and one Cat 11 suite.

I'd be smart, I would try to downgrade it to a balcony on Deck 6 and go for a longer cruise!!!!!!

Honestly, if I was given an inside cabin for free and told I could NOT upgrade I would NOT go on the cruise. I know it is a vacation, but I need a balcony to sit out on to see what it going on and see what the day is like!!!!! An inside would feel like a dungeon!!!!!

Balconies are over-rated !
There I said it....just to play devil's advocate or to facilitate discussion one .
Actually I have had a veranda once and wasn't exactly gob-smacked with it. My advice would be book an inside or cat 1A and spend that extra on a truly marvelous shore excursion.

Although a tempting offer, I'd likely go with the longer cruise to see more ports
Not to contradict myself, but the exception is Hawaii. I'd take the balcony.

I have been on over 40 cruises, had both types of rooms. I would take the longest cruise I could have. There are balconies all around the ship and if I don't have my own just steps off my room I can walk to the nearest one...we all know what we eat on these cruises and the walk would do us good. I can afford either but a longer cruise takes me to more interesting places and gives me more time to relax. I really only shower and sleep in the room , way too much to do , love to relax by the pool and cooffee shop with a good book

I think I would take the suite. I don't know about anybody else but it would probably be the only chance I would get to check one out. I had an inside cabin on are last cruise and it was ok, but we would go and visit my mom who had a balcony. We liked that so much better that we had to book a balcony on the Dream.

can you split and take an ocean view and if the long cruise is 14 days with an inside and 7 with a suite make it 10 days OC
