Trip insurance with Carnival

I paid for the cruise and insurance with Yahoo cruise, due to the sickness I had to cancel. I filled a claim with insurance company, they refunded but kept $120.46, the reason is that is goverment tax and Carnival has to refund to me.

I checked with Carnival, they said I booked with Yahoo so I have to ask Yahoo, they are not allowed to discuss with customer booked thru travel agency, I emailed Yahoo 3 times and got the answer Carnival has to refund direct to me ??

It is on a circle: insurance said Carnival has to refund, Carnival said I booked thru Yahoo so I have to ask Yahoo, Yahoo said the Carnival have to refund ??

What do I have to do to get back that money?

First of all, I hope you are feeling better.

Carnival is right. It is up to your TA to request refunds. They are playing the go ask mom, dad game.

Stay on Yahoo, until you are satisfied.

Which is a better deal.....or more wise to do. Book insurance with Carnival or an independent company?

It is always highly recommended to book travel insurance with a third party, then you only have them to deal with. You can compare prices on insuremytrip.com. Everyone is different because it is according to age, length of trip, type of trip and destination.

I got the answer from Yahoo Cruise: Carnival credit back to my account.
