Default Great tool for solo, couple or small group photos on cruise!

Had anyone ever used this? I ordered this and just got it a few days ago. It seemed like a great way to get shots of yourself if you are a solo traveler, couple or in a small group, and not have to keep asking others to take your photo so you can get into all the photos. You can "angle" the camera so you can get a shot without showing the stick in the photo. It retracts into itself and fits into my purse or any totebag!

Now I can take photos of myself all over the ship and ports with all the backgrounds I want to, and not have to worry about whether there is anyone else around to take my photo!

Order it here.

Looks cumbersome and awkward. Best to use some sort of tripod or flat surface. Bet you get some interesting looks from people too!

It does look interesting, I'll give you that. Have you used it yet? Is it difficult to keep your hand steady?

I've used it and it's not cumbersome at all! You collapse it when you're done and put it away. No blurry shots yet and I've taken quite a few. I guess that if someone had "the shakes" then yes it might be an issue, but it's not always easy to carry a tripod around with you, so this is a nice alternative.

LoL Michelle,

You are most definately creative....What a novel idea....but then arm strength might come in to play unless you can rest the camera/rod on a chair, etc., for stability. All in all, that is a pretty neat gadget to have....and guess what....it could very well fit in to your new High Sierra backpack....lol.

No I do not work for them...lol...just a satisfied customer!

I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole. Oh, wait a minute, it is a ten foot pole.

It is an interesting concept! I can't tell you how many times aboard ship I've seen a couple standing at the rail, and they're taking each others photo, so I volunteer to take a photo, with their camera, of the two of them. I don't think I've ever had anyone refuse! This should be advertised as: The "When Ken Isn't Around, Photo Helper". What do you think?

Got a question......How to you point or aim at what you want to take a pic?

you just tilt it a bit, you can tilt it either up opr down, to the left or right, then you turn the bolt to tighten it in place. Then you aim it at yourself and you get a shot of you and your sig other or small grop with the ocean, or whatever you wanted to get a photo of yourself in front of.

It was $39 or so.

Because I'm testing it at home, I'll be able to know how to position and hold it for great photos on my trip.

I personally would get annoyed if I always had to ask others to take a photo of me. I'd rather do it myself.
