Default Destiny 08/20/2009; Should I bring a Tux?

I'm off on a 5 day cruise and wanted to know if I should bring a tux with me? I haven't worn a tux for the last couple of cruises I've taken and it's been quite a while since I have traveled Carnival.
Are tux's outdated these days? Would you bring one?

I've worn tuxes/suits/sport coats in my 20+ cruises. On your particular cruise, about 10% [probably less] of the men will be in tuxes

On a 5 day Carnival cruise, forget the tux. A decent shirt, pants and tie are adequate. I know, I know, some folks object to this. But, Carnival doesn't even have true formal nights anymore, even on longer ones. Have fun!

Default Up To You

I think this one is completely up to you. It is not required so you can choose to wear just a dress shirt or Ive even seen people in good ol' Hawaii themed T-Shirts. So if you want to look better then everyone else "YES", if you feel more comfortable in something else go right ahead...

I don't own a tux so I wear a dark suit on Elegant Nights (formerly Formal Nights). Other nights, I wear a shirt and tie. First night is up for grabs depending on when the bags get to my cabin. Some times I don't get the bags until after dinner.

While I understand its everyone's "right" to dress their way, I don't like seeing jeans and t-shirts in the dining room. A nice ambiance is part of the pleasure of the experience. But that's just me...
