Anyone know the largest ship in the carnival fleet? I have been on the paradise, elation, and fascination, but I'm not sure how big they are compared to the largest.
Hello John. Well, you've sailed all the "babies" of the Carnival Fleet. All three of the ships you mention are "Fantasy" class, and are 70,000 ton range. By contrast, the "Splendor" is the current largest ship, and is about 113,000 tons. The new "Carnival Dream" which will sail in a month or two, I think is about 140,000 tons or so. As you can see, the ships are getting larger and larger. In my opinion, that doesn't necessarily mean they're better. Some folks think so, but my personal favorites are the "Spirit" class ships, which are around 88,000 tons. Big enough to have everything I personally enjoy, but not so big that they're overrun with crowds, and difficult to find your way around on.
The Spirit class are my personal favorites as well.
Although, if the Victory still has the ice machines in the hallway (like hotels) ...that was a nice convenience!

COMPLETES THE FLEET
If it is Carnival and it floats....we have sailed it!
Hubby ... DIAMOND (every ship except the Carnivale)
Me ... DIAMOND (every ship starting with the Tropicale)
20 year old son ... DIAMOND (every ship starting with the Tropicale...he is the only DOUBLE Milestone under the age of 21)
24 year old son ... DIAMOND
You have sailed the Fantasy class, which is by far my Wife and My favorite Carnival ships.
Has the best layout that we have seen thus far.
(plus not as crowded and feels nowhere near as crowded as the bigger ships do)
We tried the Conquest class on our last two cruises and now will be going back to the Fantasy class for our two upcoming cruises.
