Default Spa Cabin Harrassment??

Hello everyone,
Last year we did the spa tour and signed up to when treatments and we won a free facial... it was wonderful, my sis won it and gave it to me.
The problem was... after is was done, they kept trying to sell me their prodructs and all week they kept calling us to tell us we won a dicount on another treatment, bla bla bla.....

My question is,... are they going to harrass us the entire time, because we booked a Spa Balcony?? :evil:
Anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks.

Shortly after embarcation, as I lolled by the pool, I was asked if I would like to be a model, so the staff could work on me as cruisers walked through the salon..They gave me a shoulder massage and a hair treatment...It was fun...good for you on your win!

I once had a facial onboard, and I made it clear, once I got her spiel, that I was not interested in purchasing any products...in a very nice but, firm way, my point was well taken...

I do not think they will bother you if you have a spa cabin. You have the pass to the thalasso pool and specialty steam rooms, but as for making you book spa appointments, no.

The consultants are there to sell the products, so if you do not want any of the products then you can politely decline and say you have your own skin care products that work for you at home. I have gotten all of my refills (since I ran out well before my cruise is happening) and I don't need any new anti-aging products since the only way you can tell my age is the gray hairs scattered throughout my head (although I've had grey hairs since I was a teenager). I will politely decline and just get refills of the two products I am getting low on. I'm game to try some products, but this time I want to try more treatments instead!!!

Happy cruise, you go one week before me!!!

We have always disliked the "hard sell" tactics used by the contract spa service.

No thanks is the answer. Period. The end. If they persist call the Hotel Manager/Guest Services/Pursers desk and complain to them.

I've had a few spa treatments (on 3 different cruise lines) and I'm not likely to do it again. My husband and I had a couples' massage and at the end they wouldn't let me pay for both; they split us up so that we could each get a separate sales pitch! The current trend seems to be their need to sell you supplements, lotions and potions for "detoxification". If I'm that toxic, I really shouldn't be on vacation. (I said so on our end-of-cruise comment card.) My husband worked out in the gym and they tried to sell him supplements totaling $600. Those same supplements could be purchased at GNC for about $200. During my last spa treatment, the entire session was a sales pitch. I also fell prey to a hair and makeup scheme; for $90 I got my hair put in an updo, which fell down before dinner and the makeup was slapped on in about a 3 minute period and look horrific. Hope this keeps somebody from making the mistakes that I did.

We had a Spa Balcony on the Splendor and I never used the "SPA" (other than the areas that the wristband allowed me to use)...

no problems at all.

We have only used the Spa once (I am just NOT a Spa person - but I LOVE the thalasso pool)....to get my oldest son's hair cut and they did not even try to sell him shampoo???

I am sure it depends on the individual that you get....some are probably more agressive than others....a simple NO should be sufficient and if it isn't....just remind them that a simple NO SHOULD BE!!

Sounds good everyone... yeah I can't wait to use the theropy pool and the suana's...
Is the pool big enough to swim in if it's not crowded? I heard it was pretty big.
