Plus Size cruise clothes
Ok... as you can see from my picture I am a plus size lady. I was thinking about finding some new cruise/resort cloths for vacation. Other than the usual Romans and Lane Bryant. I have one place that I really love. does anyone know a store that is online with quality plus size cloths. The store I am recommending is:
Making it Big they can be found at [www.makingitbig.com] Makiing it Big has beautiful clothes for plus and plus plus size ladies. Even some pretty swim suits. So please what is your recommendation?? |
Have you tried Dress Barn. They have some really nice things as well as the Avenue/ Ashley Stewart? :D

The price is right for summer clothes. And if you get coupons all the better. Online had things the stores sold out of. Happy shopping for your cruise.

I like Katherine for going into the store as well as all the other stores. For online I like Junonia and Just my size. I had trouble finding a swimsuit, but I got a swim short tankini set from Junonia I just love it the short are on the longer size and fit nice. http://www.junonia.com//departments.htm?tl=1&ldid=56
http://www.jms.com/category/2000000000.html Sometimes I have had good lucky at Ross. I got this dress there (it is a little lower then my normal style) and Crazysis got her shirt at Fashion Bug. http://www.cruisemates.com/gallery/g...4728/73955.jpg |
Great subject ladies!! I have never seen this addressed on the boards before. I too am plus size and have shopped in silence until now. Thanks to this thread I have found more online places to shop. I love Fashion bug and Catherines. There is a Catherines in the shopping center very near here. I go there a lot.

Carol,
Pam and I just went to fashion bug and I scored new blouses for $5.09 in my size... Unfortuneately Pam was only able to get two, which is unsual, since I'm bigger, my size is usally harder to come by. They also had a few good choices at the avenue. By the way... those blouses I bought are solids.... blucko  But hey, for $5.00 who's crying.... LOL |

Since I live near a mall I go over often to get some excercize. I usually end up in Sears wandering around ladies department. Sears usually has good selections for us "more to love" ladies. Too many stores just order a small election of plus siize clothing and without any thought to style or colors.

I am fortunate to have three chain stores that sell plus size clothes. Penningtons, Additionel Elle, and Cotton Ginny Plus. Cotton Ginny has clothing that is almost exclusively made of cotton and is fairly casual in nature, but the do have comfortable clothes. Pennington's and Addition Elle both have a good selection. They both have lingere, casual, dress, and formal wear, so it is all in one shop. I am close to a Penningtons and I was able to stock up on summer clotthes for work, travel, and everyday life.
I hope you are able to find a store that has what you like! |

I have to admit, plus size shops are far and few between. The price is also more, even though the clothing is made as cheaply as possible, we still pay up to 50% more for clothes.
I bought a new tankini top for my bathing suit cuz I have a pass to the termal suite and thalasso pool on the Splendor and will take advantage of that every night. Thus, I needed another tankini top!!!! The bottom has a nice skirt on it to hide the flaws and I like that cuz I really don't like waxing away hair--dammit it hurts!!!!!! |
