Default Liberty with little kids

I've read a few places the "larger/newer" ships have "larger/cooler" kids areas and splash areas for little kiddos. Does anyone know if Liberty is such a ship. Can't really tell from the website..although it does only look to be a few years old? right?

Just got off the Liberty, it does not have a waterworks if that is what you are looking for. It does have the slide, mini golf, and a kids pool.

Is your 2 yr. old potty trained? If so we took those life jackets that go on the whole body like a swimsuit and they had a blast swimming (by self) as my grandson say's. The kiddie pool is very shallow and fine for them without the life jacket, and that's where we would go when the bigger kids got too rowdy. I know some of the Carnival ships like the Inspiration have a waterworks with the splash area, but I have not been on any of the ships that do so I can't tell you much about that.

All ships have Camp Carnival but since traveling with our three year old granddaughter in October 2008, now four, I would pick Inspiration or Imagination class ships or Fascination since they have the new water parks. The kiddie pool on Destiny is nothing to write home about but I loved the Camp Carnival staff and so did my granddaughter. I'd re-think Liberty and try one of the smaller ships.

The other thing witht he kiddie pools: 1) hopefully they are potty trained, if not, they aren't allowed in the pool; 2) if it's windy, the kiddie pool areas are not the best; 3) be sure to bring swimmies but if you can, try to squeeze in swimming classes pre-cruise.
