Can you bring bottled water/v8 on board when you embark?
Since I"m staying with my mom for 2 days before we cruise in March, I thought I'd bring aboard some snacks (such as almonds) as well as packets of Crystal Light and a case of bottled water to mix it into. Is Carnival OK with you bringing on bottled water or cans of V8?

The bottled water on board is so expensive and I prefer NOT to drink from the bathroom faucet or water fountains.

No problem with all of your carry on snacks.

You are allowed to bring a "reasonable" amount. The definition of "reasonable" can vary.

Also, in some ports, the porters won't accept a naked case of water like they used to. It seems too many were breaking when they went down luggage chutes at some of the ports.

If you threw the case of water in a duffel bag, they had no problem. I guess out of sight, out of mind. Plus it was an extra buck or two in tips.

You can also buy water in the ports and bring it back on.

Thanks everyone - I'm on a diet and bringing on my own v-8 and water will greatly help me stick with it on board!

We were on the Conquest in August and out two cases of soda bottles in our suitcases without any problems. We also packed some individually packaged snacks for the kids. It saved us a ton on money on our sign and sail card.
