what are the perks of Platinum Guest aboard a Carnival ship?

rosetattoo October 1st, 2009 12:32 PM

Last time I sailed, these were the Platinum perks:

. Priority embarkation and debarkation (best one in my opinion)
. Priority tender boarding (another good one)
. Complimentary wash & fold laundry service (woohoo!)
. Petit fours and/or canapes delivered to stateroom
. Spa Carnival priority reservations
. Complimentary $20 entry fee into blackjack/slots tournament
. Guaranteed dining times & supper club reservations
. Personalized stationery
. Carnival logo item

Yep, all that plus:

Priority window at the pursers desk! (Sometimes saves lots of time!)

Skymaster, thanks for reminding me, that VIP line at the Purser's desk is another one we took advantage of many times.

Does anyone know if the Platinum gift has changed since May? We have about 8 or 10 of those aluminum thermos bottles. They are nice, but I wish they would go back to the nice tote bags they had before.

They can keep those thermos bottles, I loved those tote bags.

2 weeks ago on the Fascination it was a picture frame. It is brushed aluminum with the Carnival Concierge Club logo.

Another perk that was not mentioned are the Ship Pins that are still free to Platinum Guest but are for purchase in the gift shop for Blue/Gold card guest.

Woo-hoo, a picture frame. Seems like the free gifts are going downhill.

Yep, it is a 5X7 brushed aluminum picture frame with their logo on it. Actually, pretty nice, but as someone said,,,just how many of 'em do you need? (We've got 4 of them already, and will be getting 4 more shortly.) I started giving away all the thermos bottles, and will probably give the frames away as well.
We sailed Glory, and Legend recently, and neither of them gave out the pins. I asked at the pursers desk on both ships, and Glory looked, but said they had no pins at all,,,,however, the very attractive young lady at the pursers desk on Legend found two of the pins for me. I didn't look in the gift shop on either ship to see if they were available there, but I doubt that they were.

Per John Heald's blog the pin thing is in progress and should be in place fleet wide soon. 8)

IBCRUIZIN--please tell me you will, or can deliver my message to Migel for me on the Splendor.

I do hope the weather is sunny and warm and the seas calm!!!!!

Maitre d' Miguel? I think he is on Carnival Dream.

There is usually a Platinum Guest Services (Purser) number.

LOL LOL LOL
I guess they had an overstock of the 5 x7 frames that they need to ditch, since most of the pics are now the big ones. Wish they still had more of the 5 x 7 pictures for sale.
