Yes, we went on the Yellow Bird Oct 2008 (Carnival Imagination). It was very fun. You get on this boat and go to this private island where there are chairs and a bar. You stay about 1.5-2 hrs and swim, drink, layout, etc... On the way back to your ship, they play some dancing music and everyone gets on the dance floor---meanwhile you are drinking rum and punch to the private island and back to the ship. If you give the bartender tips, you will get extra rum or even straight rum. By the time we got back to the Bahamas, some people in our party just could walk back to our ship.
I was on that party boat a few years back - it was really fun - everyone on the boat is very friendly. There were young 20 somethings - an older couple celebrating there 50th wedding anniversary - and every age inbetween. I though the process of buying drink tickets on the little island was a bit confusing, but it could have been the rum flowing through my veins!!! The trip over on the party boat was great!!! And the price was reasonable.
We took the Yellow Bird excursion 20 years ago out of St. Thomas.
The highlight of the day was watching some of the passengers leaving on pallets, by FORKLIFT. They couldn't even walk up the stairs to the dock.
That was 20 years ago, I'm sure things have changed somewhat.

Been on it 4 or five times over the years... The CD on several Carnival ships (when I went to the talks) would say if you want a GOOD time go on the Yellowbird AND if you wanted a great show make sure to be at the dock when the Yellowbird docks... to see all the drunks trying to get back onboard.
Many go straight from the Yellowbird to the bunk... LOL
I understand it has tamed a bit but FREE rum punch going and coming back will end with some drunks... and a few bumps/bruises for the few who try to limbo after about 6 "punches" - pssst (the rum is STRONG)
Did the Yellow Bird in Nassau many years ago. We were a group of "mature" adults plus my daughter and her then "significant other" who is now my son-in-law. My daughter won the limbo contest, the prize being a bottle of rum (just what she needed after the boat trip). My
son-in-law came off the boat displaying the lovely "stick-on-tattoos" that the boat offered. At that time, they did hair braiding on the excursion and one of the men in our group had his chest hairs braded. Needless to say, a good time was had by all. We were in Nassau a few weeks ago while on a cruise. My daughter and her family were with us and we saw the Yellow Bird. Many memories came back. It certainly was a fun experience.
Yes, back when I was still married. Sovereign of the Seas to Bahamas in July 2000. Got so drunk I passed out in the cabin and woke to find my wife dressed for formal night eating room service. Not a good night!

Went a year and a half ago. Everybody got hammered. My GF lost her shoes and one girl got so tanked she got sick in her bed and was out of commission for 3 days. She had to tell us about it later in the week. We all wondered what happened to her.
