Default Question about B2B Cruise !

Just spoke to TA about booking a B2B cruise. Asked (1) if it was possible to get same cabin for both and (2) can we just leave all luggage unpacked and in cabin between cruises? She informed me that even if we get the same cabin, we would have to remove all belongings due to Customs. Did anyone ever encounter this? I have read on some boards that you are allowed to leave everything in the same cabin, but you would have to get new S & S cards along with opening a new account for purchases. Please help !!

Recommendation: Get a new TA, yours doesn't know what he/she is talking about.
If you get the same cabin, you leave all your things alone. They will escort you off the ship, through customs and then right back on the ship.
Hope this helps.

Your TA is wrong. You can leave your belongings in the cabin provided you have the same cabin for both cruises. You do have to exit the ship for customs and Border Protection. Sometimes they streamline that process for B2B cruisers. Yes you do have to get new S&S cards and provide credit card info again.

That's what I thought after seeing a lot on the same subject across these boards. Thanks for the quick replies and if the travel agent doesn't come through I'll call Carnival and explain the situation. Maybe they'll allow me to do that through them directly. Thanks again,

B2B's are fun. Good luck. You will be treated very well as a returning guest on the 2nd leg. Enjoy!

Morn of debarkation around 1100 All we did was go to the pursers desk and get a new S&S card and move on. Clear customs at the end of the 2 weeks.

We have done 3 B2B in Miami, New Orleans and Fort Lauderdale....and at no time did we have to pack up our belongings UNLESS we were changing cabins (which we did once)

You will get a letter stating what time to be at the Purser's Desk (Guest Services is what they are calling it now)....

just show up with your Passports (or whatever id you used to get on the cruise) and your Customs form. You will have to complete and turn in a separate Custom form for each cruise.

They walk you off the ship and right back on.

There has been as few as just the 4 of us and as many as 124 .... but regardless of the number...it was always handled the same way.

One more tip....

IF you collect the embarkation pictures (like we do)....about 2pm..just go to the security guard working the gangway and he will "ding you out" so that you can have the embarkation picture taken and then he will "ding you back in".

Usually the embarkation pictures are not set up for picture taking at 10:30AM when we have been walked off and back on.
