Luggage tags

Just read somewhere about cruise line luggage tags. Do you need them on your luggage? If so where do you get them. I have done everything online and don't remember seeing anything there about luggage tags - may have missed it!!
Can someone confirm exactly what paperwork we need to take on the day - only 3 wks now!!

When you print your documents, the last page will be the luggage tags...if you need more you can just click on that page number 7 I think, and, print more....

You need to either get them laminated, or use packing tape to make them sturdy to stay on.

Trip is correct, it is usually around page 7 you find the luggage tags in your cruise documents. Just download the pdf file and print them out preferably on a laser printer(it just makes them crisper to read and helps prevent mistakes). Print out two for every piece you have, in case you mess up filling out or folding the first one. If you do not have a laser printer, you can use an inkjet or print them out at your local library(who almost always have laser printers). You need these so they know what cabin to deliver your bags to.

Thanks both for the info. I'll recheck my documents. Just a last minute (well not quite last minute!) panic!! So excited about this cruise, don't want anything to go wrong!

If for some reason you are missing the tags, you can always get them at the pier when you arrive, so don't panic.

Oddly, our tags are not showing up in our e-doc's. But, I will simply make some up and then get real ones at the pier.

I have found that even if using the tags from your e-docs, when you get to the pier the porters want you to put "real" tags on. So I am not wasting my printer this time

That was not an issue for us, they took our bags as we stepped off the shuttle, we tipped him, and, we walked into the terminal..I would take issue with someone saying that to me....

I'm not sure if they still do this. But my TA gives me a pouch with my docs and it has color coded tags. I understand this may have been done away with. I also still printed. My luggage has a couple of handles. I always put one on each handle. Using clear packing tape is just like laminating and easier to apply. I have in the past taken a case of bottled water on board. I taped a luggage tag on the top and strapped it on with the clear packing tape.
