Be sure to tell Michael H. (solo Promenade entertainer) that DJ's Mom said hi. He was on our Blogger's Cruise in February.

He is from Las Vegas...and I think his wife is on board for at least one of the cruises.

He is an excellent guitar player and a genuinely nice individual.

Thank you for the great photos, keep them coming. I'm sailing on the Dream next April and I was able to see the outside of my balcony stateroom thanks to your wonderful ship photos.

The food looks great, I'm anxious to hear your review of the ship layout, food, service, size of the casino (looks small), etc. There are a couple of negative reviews on another cruise board.

Dude....YOU ROCK!!!!!!!

Robert (a Carnival Rep from New Orleans that checked us in at the VIP room for the Bloggers Cruise 2) is onboard for the TA.

We have sailed with him many times and of course we get to see him every time we sail from New Orleans.

Tell him DJ's Mom said HI!!! (You will find him in the casino!!)

you and I have not always agreed on every subject...but those childish antics over there are ridiculous. Hope they grow up soon and leave you alone!!

These days, it really doesn't matter if the darkside exists or not. Sooner or later TripAdvisor is going to clean house and if they don't, Expedia will.

Zydecocruiser, you take wonderful pictures. What kind of camera do you use and how do you have it set for the Carnival main shows? Your available light photos are dead on!! I've tried a couple of times taking show photos, but don't get the great results that you do. What is your secret?

The secret is to try not to post the crappy pics.

For this cruise, a Panasonic Lumix FZ35. I just use the Intelligent Auto setting mostly and hold the camera as steady as possible. Also avoid taking pictures when there is a lot of movement on stage or that will just be a blur.

a note on the Z35 - it does seem to have pretty good image stabilization which does allow you to shoot handheld at slower speeds than humans normally can do.

When I took my photos, I was up in the balcony and there was a lot of movement when I took the shots. Still learning all the gadgets that the camera comes with. Hopefully I'll get it down pat one day. Again, I like to commend you on such beautiful pictures. Looking forward to seeing more. Being an ole Navy guy, I remember some of these places that your visiting. Sailed the Mediterranean many of times back in the 70's, and I bet a lot has changed since then.

I wish I were with you on this cruise, ENJOY!!!!!

Thanks again for all the great photos, copies of the Capers and menus. I hope the food is as good as it looks. I noticed from your photos that there is no retractable roof over the aft deck as there is on the Conquest class ships. We loved sitting back there for breakfast and lunch. Hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise, I'm loving your photos.
