Default How do you carry.....

I was hoping for the women's perspective on how do you carry around your sign and sail card and other necessities while on board?

I have a very thin purse meant to just carry basic id's and other small necessities. I got it at macy's for $45. the larger zippered section holds my cell phone, ipod, pda, my digital camera, folding brush-comb combo and keys, It has a small zippered section for small thinmgs liks chapstick, a case containing digital camera memory cards, then there is a small outer pocket which also zippers which had slots to hold ids credit cards, my sail & sign card, cash, and I keep muy passport there as well. a very long strap lets me wear it across the front of my body. Very light, and when on the ship I put this 'flat purse" inside a canvas totebag which also zips up, and this also contains my trip journal, sunblock, pens, carnival capers, sun visor, sunglasses, and my tiny netbook for lounging on deck typing eamils to sent later on.

I love this purse!!! I love to wear it when I'm shopping at the mall or any time I just need the essentials and want to have both hands free or don't wnt a bulky heavy shoulderbag. I think every woman should have one like this.

Go to the casino and get one of those plastic springy necklace thingys that are meant to hold your card while you are playing the machines. Then you can just wear it around your neck!

Normally I just use a neck wallet. I have a couple I got at different conventions for Creative Memories and Relay For Life. They are great. They have a slot infront for putting my sign and sail card. Another zipper clear slot in the back I put my credit card or small bills in. Then there is a center zipper pocket I put my camera and lip balm hand cream ect.

QVC has a couple of nice products great for a cruise they are made by Travelon. http://www.qvc.com/qsearch/search.aspx I have a couple of those too.

Sometimes I just cary a tote bag. When I do that I get my card punched at the casino and get a cord attached. Then I hook it to the handle of my tote. That way I don't need to go digging for it. I jus putt it out with the cord.

Have fun.

I normally just carry a wristlet. It is big enough to carry my card and my camera...Got it at the coach outlet for about $29. But you can get one just about anywhere..

Thanks for all the great ideas. I am a handbag and shoe fanatic, so I am sure somewhere in my "Barbie Playhouse" (my husband's name for my closet) I have something that fits the bill and if not.....time to shop, lol.

I usually carry a beach bag on deck and a small evening one at night, I attach my card to a landyard I get from the casino and store attached to the inside of bag or purse.

I am also one who uses a tote bag. That way I have my book with me at all times, plus the other stuff I need. As soon as we get on the ship, I take all important stuff out, and put it in the safe, and the pocket book goes in my empty luggage.

You can find the thing that you wear around your neck, at any WalMart store. Go to the hunting and fishing dept. People use them to carry their important papers required to fish, and hunt. They are large enough to put not only your sign and sail card, but a little money and ID as well.

Hope this helps.

Luanne

I amend my earlier posting as I just bought a travel vest from Magellans which should arrive by early next week so that will be what I use to keep my cell phone, dfigital camera, keys, small wallet with cash and ids, passports, other travel docs, on me instead of a waist pouch, which I found uncomfortable to wear and a pain to have to get anything out of it. So on cruises, for port days as well as fying in and out days, I will the vest, but will still use the small flat leather purse mentioned above when I'm on the ship.
