I just caught this story on Twitter......sems like moving her the way they did, exacerbated her injuries...One cruise we were on, I called the slip and fall vacation..saw it onboard and in port many times
Trip, with her book & tea!

It does not fix her fall but it does pay for a lot of expensive physical therapy, pain meds and medical devices she may need in the future because of these injuries.
All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; John Masefield

As I wasn't there and don't have any info. re /her injuries. It's hard to say how serious they were or were not. The old ploy of suing people because they improperly handled an accident victim has always been around.
The lady may have suffered grievous injuries or may not have--I don't know.
Suing for damages is as common as the sun coming up.
With regards to paying for all her expensive therapy, meds., etc, don't they have an excellent system in Canada that would cover her meds. or at least part of them?
In many years of working in the insurance claims business, I've seen a lot of miraculous cures after the check was written.
I have to tell you when we sailed Inspiration earlier this month the floors in Brasserie where the buffet and pizza is located were very slippery. I had on gym shoes and I would slide all over. No sure why the floor was like that. Very dangerous!
If it is Carnival and it floats....we have sailed it!
