Fantasy to Calica and Cozomel

Looked up Calica on Google Earth since ive never been there. It looks nice. There are 2 piers that jut out from beach. 1 to the north is longer. farther down a few miles or so there is a small inlet out in middle of nowhere that looks like a commercial container ship docking area, etc. Does Fantasy dock in any of these places or does it anchor out while in Calica? Its also directly behind Cozomel.

It docks at the gravel pit. Nothing there at all, you'll have to take a taxi to anywhere you go.

The cab to Playa Del Carman is $10. It's a great little town. And its a very short ride to Xcaret which is a eco park. It's wonderful and worth the price. You can enjoy both in the same day no problem.

The good news is that IF you are lucky enough to be tendered in

(if another Carnival ship has the pier space.....the last time we were there ...there was only room for one ship to dock)....

your tender drops you off downtown right at a Senor Frogs and all the shopping...no taxi required.

The only 2 times we were there....the Holiday had the slip space and we were tendered it.

LOVED IT!!!

Yes tendering would be cool. They don't like to do it unless they have to. You were lucky. I tendered once on the Grand Princess (way too big for Calica) because we lost a port due to weather.
