Smile 5 night cruise - what is the standard tip?

I am comparing 2 prices from 2 different travel agents... and I just need to know what the standard tip is for 5 nights...

Also - if I opt not to tip ahead of time - how do I go about tipping at the end of the cruise?;-)

(My last cruise - tips were included in the price )

Just a guideline, but figure $10.00 a day per person...I did read recently that it may have gone up, but it was a dollar or two. You can go to the CArnival web-site and see how they figure it out.

Have just came back from 2 cruises in past month and it is still 10 total per day per person. You can elect to do the tipping directly-if I am remembering correctly you can go to the pursor and get envelopes and do it how you want. We just let them take it out on our sail and sign and don't have to go to all that trouble. If a server or room steward goes the extra mile we will tip extra also.

For me, I also find it helpful to tip your room steward and/or dining room server a few dollars upon arrival. I find they'll be extra attentive that way, but I wouldn't say its at all a requirement.
