Southern Caribbean...can any one tell me ...

if there is a reason that Carnival does not sail to southern Caribbean in June - August? I see that RCCL does. I'm looking at itineraries that include Barbados. Is it too hot there then?

I would appreciate any info.

The ships would be repostioned to Alaska and Europe, I would think.

My DW and I will be going on the Carnival Victory Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan,PR in Feb. and I know that this ship does the same itinerary year round from San Juan.

The Carnival Victory does this itinerary year round from San Juan. We did it last May...it was awesome, but very tiring since there are no sea days. When we went they were still stopping at Antigua instead of St Maartin.
