Default Anytime dining help

Anytime Dining....is it now available fleet wide? I am cruising on the Victory in March and am considering switching to this option if it is available? Also does anyone know if, with this option, we can still get a table for two?

From what I understand it is only available on a few ships now. It is on the Dream. It was not on the Triumph a few weeks ago.

Based on what I have read it allows you to go anytime to a specific dining room during the evening and eat when you want instead of having the assigned times like early or late. You don't have the guarantee of the same wait staff though. You also can't switch back and forth, it is either assigned or anytime.

I was hopeful that the Victory had this option since last year on the cruise we had the late dining at 815 (sometimes the dining room didn't open on time either) and it made for a late meal and the early option is too early if we are out doing excursions.....was hoping for something more in the middle but oh well. Who knows maybe by the time we board it might be an option

I actually love assigned dining with a set time and table-mates, but I think that assigned seating might be on the way out over time.
Lately there are fewer and fewer people at my dinner table.
I suppose it is hit or miss.

You just show up between 530 and 930 and are seated at table. You may get a table for 2 or 8. On the Dream I traveled be myself. One night I sat at a table for 2 alone but talked with people around me at table for two also. The other nights I sat with a family with 2 children, other nights with 4-6 people. I enjoyed it...you go around the activities you want to do...not the other way around. If you took a nap and overslept and missed your table time you were out of luck as far as the formal dining went before anytime dining. I will take anytime dining that is available on every future cruise that i take.

We did the anytime dining on the Legend in November last year and we really did like it. You can request a table for two, which we did, or a larger table. They had a section of the dining room specifically for the anytime dining. There were always quiet a few people using it. As someone mentioned, you cannot go back and forth, once you sign up for anytime dining that's what you have. Dining time was anywhere between 5:45 & 9:30, I believe. To the original poster, have your TA contact carnival to find out or call them.

We booked Triumph a few days ago for November and Anytime Dining was offered.

We specifically chose any time dining just to be able to do things at our leisure. We don't know what we plan to do each day and are leaving our appointment books at home...lol.
