Default Any disembarking problems?

Hi, we have not cruised for awhile but leave in 2 weeks for the Conquest. Our last trip was a nightmare! They did not let anyone off the ship until 1pm (after 10 no more drinks or food allowed) doing customs checks on staff. Did not get out of the terminal until 2:30! UGH, I have never seen 2600 angry people at one time until then. Anyone have any recent problems like this recently?

The type of problem you described is very rare, though obviously it can happen. Your chances for a very smooth disembarkation are much greater... at least 98% I'd say.

Last month there were delays at Port of Tampa because of fog. Ship couldn't safely get into it's berth until 2 or 3 hours late. That delayed disembarkation, as well as embarkation for the next cruise. Well, I'd rather be safe, and a bit late, than run aground or worse!

While, my Comquest cruise was a few years ago now, the "embarkation" in this terminal was a nightmare, with lines galore Also, a lot of not so happy crusiers... when disembarkation issues arise, it has issues pertinent to THAT sailing..it is not the norm. The odds are in your favor.

We got home on Sunday from the Splendor. It was total chaos getting off!! People started lining up in the lobby & stairways at 8am! It was a big fire hazard as we couldn't get anywhere & people weren't listening to the announcements when they should have been getting off. There were hundreds of us trying to do the self disembarkment and we were very stressed out. Carnival really needs to work on this big problem.

Hello: I was hoping that Gail4cruising could share her recent cruise experience on the Triumph. We leave on the 20th for the 5 day to Progreso and Cozumel. We've never cruised so any info, tips, etc will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Karen
