And I thought you were posting about a warning sign on the side of a cruise ship stating the following.

WARNING: Cruising may become addictive! rofl

I often wonder what ever became of common sense? Indeed crime happens everywhere, even on vacation. Precautions must be followed while on ANY type of vacation. Years ago I read a post about island XYZ being unsafe and crime infested. The poster rented a Jeep to tour the island. They parked the Jeep near the lighthouse and walked to the beach. A lowlife reached into the open windows of the vehicle and stole personal belongings. My local paper is full of crime reports of valuables being stolen from unlocked vehicles. Just a little common sense would go a long ways to prevent this type of crime from happening.

I guess personal responsibility is a thing of the past.

I live in Florida. Does the state need to post signs every 50 feet on the beach stating there are sharks living in the ocean and sometimes they like to bite people? :o

I agree, people hve to be evern more vigilant on vacation as thieves assume people are relaxed and lax about their personal security.

And that is why we have pools, so people can swim without bothering the residents (sharks). Humans have to stop being so arrogant in thinking they "rule" or "own" the world, as we do not.

It appears it is not a good time to chat about sharks:

I seem to remember a month or so back everyone was calling for the cruise lines to stop visiting Nassua because of armed robberies.I was chastized by a few for taking the stance that a few people disagreed with. Now here we go again. People need to use common sense and not rely on anyone else to protect them when out of the United States or Canada. Have fun, see the world but be aware of your surroundings.
