Almost forgot to inform you guys and gals, but we DID receive our coveted Carnival "Pins" aboard the "Liberty' last week. I looked in the gift shop as well, to see if they were available there, and they did indeed have pins, but they were a bit larger, and frankly, IMO not as nice, and "classy" as the honest to goodness "Carnival Platinum Pins". They were also $4.95 each! So glad Carnival elected not to get rid of the pins, as they make excellent keepsakes, and reminders of what GREAT cruises we enjoy aboard Carnival. THANKS CARNIVAL!
I've got 'em all stuck on my U.S.M.C. baseball cap that I wear on cruises. I'm running out of space, however! (GREAT problem to have!) Guess I'll have to think of something else to do with them. The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) has them stuck on a light weight vest that she wears sometimes.
On your 10th cruise and beyond you receive the Carnival Platinum Pins.
Prior to that there are pins available in the gift shop for about $5 each.
The gift shop pins are slightly different from the Platinum Pins.
Most Carnival ships gave out pins with the Past Guest party invitations on cruises that were 5 days or longer but it seems most do not do that any more. I still have a couple of cruises to go before I start seeing the Platinum guest pins.
