Leaving on Inspiration Monday (Feb. 22): Packing for weather?

Our first cruise was August of last year. The weather was warm, almost hot but we didn't complain.
We leave on Monday for our second and since it's been really cold here in Tampa Bay, wondered if anyone could advise us on the weather we should expect this time of year?
Is it shorts or capris on deck while sailing? Or should I bring a pair of sweats? I'll have a light jacket (it's always cold in the dining room) but should I bring a sweatshirt?
And is it cooler when you are sailing then when you are stopped?
As for Cosumel, we're kayaking. Anyone have advice as to what we should plan to wear there?

Sure hope our second is as nice as the first!

Cozumel will be quite a bit warmer than here in Tampa. I'm about ready to move south for the winter...except that I'm about as far south as the U.S. goes.
At sea, I would expect it to be pretty chilly the first and last day, especially after the sun goes down. But, as you know, this time of year it can warm up fast. So, I would go with 2 each of shorts, capri's and long pants. I actually prefer capri's even in summer, since they protect the backs of my legs from hot vinyl or splintery wood seats. I would not advise you to only take clothes for just cool or warm, since the odds are high you will experience both.
