Freedom shore excursions

Any suggestions for shore excursions in Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios? .Do you think you should book something thru the Cruise line or strike out on your own? We have a large group (10 - 14) and don't want to break the bank.

We have done 3 times in Grand Cayman on our own. The Stingray Buccaneer Tour was 39 pp including transportation. It was awesome and your on the water longer than if you book thru carnival. We would do it again. In Ocho Rios we used Grand Cayman Cruise shore excursions site and hit Ocho Rios. We did the Dunns river falls and river tubing and it was a blast.

Be sure to snorkel with the Sting Rays in Grand Cayman, its an awesome excursion.

In Jamaica, may be a good idea to pre-book or at least do an excursion rather than venturing out on your own, just a good idea there. The natives can be agressive, sometimes a simple "no" doesn't work there.
