Ok, I have done a search and the earliest post I can find is 2007, so here goes and if this has been addressed more recently forgive me.
I have never bid on priceline so have no experience to it. I am looking to get a hotel in Miami, I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami and would like a hotel that gives me the same veiws. How would I go about bidding for such a hotel.
At Priceline you can bid on Hotels in two different sections of Southbeach, but neither one will guarantee you a view of the ocean. (I just tried this process, so I know).
If you want that view you must book a specific hotel. Priceline only lets you bid within certain regions (defined by street borders). There are two regions in South Beach, but neither one is just on the water.

Okay - sorry. The only Holiday Inns I know are by the airport or SouthBeach. Your option would be to search downtown, but I doubt you can guarantee any kind of view using Priceline.
How to do it is easy to figure out.

Great advice, i will have to try that. Priceline does give you some idea of what to bid when you go in there as well, but I am not sure how reliable it is.

betterbidding.com also has some excellent resources for bidding on Hotwire and Priceline. Between them and Bidding for travel you can generally figure out which hotel you are bidding on.
