i have a questions has anybody been on carnival liberty my wife and i are thinking of either going on carnival liberty or carinval splendor
i am looking for someone who has been on these ships and which one they like better
I have been on both ships. I love them both. The Liberty has excellent ports--especially Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk. If you like Mexico then you'll like the Splendor's route. I didn't like Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan that much, but Cabo was amazing.
Liberty--It is like all the other Conquest class ships, but the decor is very nice and pleasing to the eye. The disco is outlandish, and one of the best spaces to just go in and look around..I think I took at least 30 pictures in there...
Splendor--it is laid out like all other Carnival ships, but where it changes is on Deck 9 (Lido) and higher. On Conquest class ships you can walk all the way around the ship from central pool area, on the Splendor you can't do that. The back of the ship on Deck 9 is open deck space vs Panorama on Conquest..The Lido deck does not have tiered levels and it has a large magrodome to cover the whole deck on rainy days and usually overnight..The spa is amazing and if you book the Splendor consider getting a spa category cabin that allows you access to the thalasso pool and thermal suite...That is totally relaxing.....
If these two ships are the short list, then decide on which ports you want to see an book that ship. I will be back on the Liberty in September and in March am planing to go back on the Splendor, even though I am not a fan of Mexico, the ship is incredible.

2010 Glory and Liberty
We've only been on the Carnival Liberty, so far. The Liberty does have better ports of call, the Caribbean. You can take a look at some of my photos that I took last cruise abord the Liberty, in my albums. Also the Liberty has a great little "Fish & Chips" bar. The best oysters & chips. We did plan to cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor last September, but my wife had a terrable accident and was off her feet for almost six months. I'm sure you'll have a blast on either one of the ships.
Dave & Diane...

I have only been on Liberty of these two ships. I had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed the "fish and chips" as a great alternative to lunch. I will be sailing this ship again September 11, 2010. Looking forward to that.
