Default Change in Sail Time

I and several friends all got emails from Carnival yesterday. It seems that our Pride cruise on Aug. 29th will be sailing at 4:30 now instead of 5:30. The email said this was to get the fun started even earlier...but this has never happened on any off our previous cruises. Has this happened to anyone else? Believe me, I'm not complaining as we always are onboard long before the sail-away, but one friend was really concerned about this. Not sure why, but he is!

It is probably a result of docking availability in the first port or from a requirement from the home port to release the pier space.

The cruise lines are at the mercy of the different ports in regard to when and where they dock. If there is a change with them they need to change their schedule to accommodate.

An hour earlier isn't bad.

I can't see where there is anything to be concerned about. Unless someone really made a bad flight decision and thought they could take a flight that arrives at 4:00 p.m.

Take care,

For sure, most travel savvy cruisers are already board..I cannot imagine, anybody cutting it that close....The sailaway getting started a bit early is a good thing!

I just wonder if anyone does have later flights that may be cutting it too close, then what??
