I have mainly cruised on Carnival but am going on an RCl cruise, leaving tomorrow.
RCL does not have the traffic on messages that Carnival has, I tried asking on the RCL site but no answer so far.
Has anyone traveled on RCL and know what their policy is on soft drinks (i.e. Cokes) is? I am assuming it's ok to take soft drinks on board but in any discussion on the RCL site on beverages, even when someone ask specifically about soft drinks, the answer was only about alcoholic beverages.
Ive seen conflicting information about bringing non alc drinks on RCCL ships. The website says no beverages of any kind which I am to assume means water also. I have seen other reports that specify alcohol only. Its unclear because RCCL doesnt really want any drinks brought on so they can make the money selling them. I think Mike is probably right though. Not sure however if you can bring them in your carry on. Mike do you know?

Royal Caribbean has perhaps the most dysfunctional website management of any major cruise line. It is a constant crisis with their posted policies. Just look at their disaster with the price guarantee change. I don't understand why this is so difficult for them.
As to their beverage policy....I swear, less than a month ago they had updated it to cover ALL personal beverages - booze of course, but also soda and water. It said nothing was allowed. I just looked at it not 5 minutes ago and now it is back to the dire warnings about personal alcohol only.
As was mentioned previously, a reasonable amount of personal sodas or water should be fine. I define that as a 12 pack per person, which is also what Carnival recently set as their definition. I'd like to think Royal looks at it the same way.
