Birthday surprise questions

Do we check-in by booking number or last name? We are surprising my dad on the boat and don't want anyone to give away the surprise when he checks in and sees that there are a bunch of people with the same (uncommon) last name!

And how do we make calls from stateroom to stateroom? My mom is going to call us from their room to let us know they're onboard so we can come to their room for the surprise.

Your replies are much appreciated!!! 8)

you dont have to worry about last names when you are getting on the ship you might want to be on way before your parents or let them board
first and you wait awhile.
they dont call you by name or room number.
to make calls on the ship room to room you dial there room number.
You should know your room numbers from your booking papers that
are in your package you get printed from your TA or if you printed them
out your self.

hope that helps

Just a little more info. Not sure if your on a Fantasy class ship or not, but on the Fantasy you have to add the deck number ahead of the room number when dialing cabin to cabin. The cabins are only numbered in 3 digits on the Fantasy Class ships that we've been on. The Riviera would be deck 4 and so on as you go up each deck. If your on any other class ship just the cabin number works to call cabin to cabin. Rick

We're on Splendor...do we just dial direct to the room? Or is there a prefix?

another thought......if you both have cell phones with you, she can call your cell phone, but don't use that method while at sea
