I think it is a pretty good chance that the Magic will stay in Galveston.

Well I was just informed that the CQ to NOLA on 11/13...

TI to Galveston on 10/06...

and Ec to NOLA on 09/22...

And Magic will switch the Itin a little bit...they have a 8 day to costa maya, belize and honduras and cozumel on 12/18

And im trying to fill in the gaps on dates to see what happens with all these Repo's.

Question

Excellent news.

Any idea what kind of itinerary would be involved with either of these ships?

Would the Triumph take over the 4-5 day Western Caribbean runs that the Ecstasy does?

And would the the Magic take over the 7 day eastern/western runs, or would it be doing something completely different?

We went on the 5-day on the Ecstasy last year and will do to the western run on the Conquest in September. My wife and I already decided that if we do another Carnival cruise in the coming years, we'd like to branch out to a different set of ports. We aren't taking the kids on our upcoming cruise and they are asking when they get to go on another one.

Y'all should stay over here!

Someone on this board predicted this more than a year ago.

Very good news, anxious to see the sailing schedule from Galveston.

We are booked on the Conquest to the Bahamas & Key West 2/27/11. Does this mean we would be switched to a different ship or a different port? I don't mind a ship change if it is equivalent or better, but NOLA is a much longer drive.

They will probably give you the option. They really can't do anything just yet as they still haven't released all bookings and itineraries. You'll come out ahead if they switch you to the Magic, but your ports may be different. They usually have a little incentive for you as well as the change options you'll get to make. You should be fine.

Thanks. I emailed my TA, but no answer yet. Now I'm excited all over again. We have been on the Conquest before. I loved it but a different ship is always exciting.

Snoozeman,
Just noticed you're in Bosque County. We are practically neighbors. We live in Bell County, Killeen actually.

Nah you will be on the Conquest. They are not making the switch until later in 2011..The Magic wont even be stateside so they dont have another ship for you to switch to.

This there possibly a ship in Galveston that needs to go into drydock around the middle of November (2011) when the Magic would be arriving??

Just wondering if there is a chance that the Magic will do something special in Galveston....before being assigned permanently to New Orleans.

Hi everyone I decided to look and saw they have the Magic from Galveston up now. Looks like first Caribbean cruise is Nov 27, 2011. They are doing 7 and 8 day cruises. I don't know what cruise I will be on 2011/2012, but we have been thinking of driving to either Galveston or New Orleans from California to do a Caribbean cruise. Having a nice ship like Magic is a plus. We will see what happens.:-D

I see a Nov 14 2011 sailing on Magic, then a Nov 20 then 27th.

Cost is high, tho, at least for a balcony. Course it is a holiday period so that is part of the reason for the higher cost.

Maybe if they annponced a "special" gift or event for the first sailing out of Galveston we would love to do it.
