Miracle, is, IMO one of the best ships in the entire Carnival fleet! She's a "Spirit Class" ship, which means she's a bit smaller than some of the others, but because of that the ship is less crowded feeling. The aft pool is wide open to the sea, and not glass walled off like the Conquest Class ships are. The main pool area is much nicer as well, and doesn't have the "stadium seating" at the Conquest Class ships have. Much, much nicer I think. The crew is excellent, with outstanding food and service. Entertainment is second to none, and the cruise, in general is very, very good.
You won't go wrong on "Miracle". Why don't you sail to St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Maarten on November 11th. The lovely Mrs. Jones and I will be aboard! See you then!
Thanks again Skymaster! You have been very helpful with all my questions concerning cruising.
I wish we could go in November but I can only get away in March. I already booked the Liberty for March 2011 but now I am looking for March 2012.
The Miracle seems very pink but it looks like a beautiful ship. I think the Southern route would be awesome.

Thanks Julia. Whenever you sail, I know you'll enjoy "Miracle". We cruise "Legend" and "Miracle" quite often, as these two ships are my absolute favorites of the entire Carnival fleet. Perhaps we'll see you aboard one of these days!

Hehe, I guess you'll be getting on Miracle the very day we will be getting off her skymaster
We are on the cruise the very week before going to Dominican, Grand Turk, Aruba, and Curacao. Can't wait!

Krunch, you better leave a few beers, and drinks-of-the-day aboard when you get off, or I'll be pissed! It's a shame we aren't doing the same week, but you didn't let me know when you were going. Well, maybe next time.

Everything else you are probably ok though.

We took one "CruiseMates Cruise", and we have an occasional "Central Florida CruiseMates Dinner", and I have to tell you, that EVERYONE, without exception is genuine, and wonderful! Nobody is "putting on the dog" and impress you with who they are, and everyone is there for one thing, and one thing only. HAVE A GREAT TIME! I wouldn't hesitate, for a moment, to sail with anyone I've met on CruiseMates.
Hello Krunch my fellow Canadian. I noticed you sailed on the Liberty, how was that cruise?
That cruise was almost just as good as our first one on Valor. But I believe our first one can never be beaten as it had the "Wow" factor being the first time. Valor and Liberty are sister ships, so except for color schemes, they are virtually identical. The only thing that lacked on Liberty, and it was in no way Liberty's fault, was the night life took on a different tone in the dance bar. Valor played some classic rock early in the night and 80's music, then transitioned to 80's remixes and dance music. Liberty seemed to play rap right out of the gate, and for the whole night. But I believe they were "Playing the crowd". If I was on Liberty a week later, or a week earlier, with a different "Crowd" things might have been different.

Happy to hear that the Miracle is a great ship. I've sailed the sister Spirit a few times and love her.
We have our first B2B on the Miracle 3/27/11 4/4/11 so I am anxious to hear all the "new" southern itinerary reviews before our sailing.
Glad my group booked the day this sailing opened up for deposits. The inside cabins are now selling for what we paid for balconies?
I am interested in know if anyone has the dining room schematic or could get one for me. I use them to choose round tables of 8, 10 or 12 for my group.
Thanks

I am so happy to have found this forum. My family and I are planning a southern Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Miracle ship in January 2011. It is the first time we will go on a cruise! We are thinking about a balcony room. Is there a certain category or room number we should request? I see from other posts that some balcony rooms may have blocked views or be very close to the bow where there is alot of motion (the less motion, the better!).
Is it better to upgrade so that you are not nickle-and-dimed to death? It is hard to determine just what is included and what will add up to a lot of hidden fees.
Any advice that is offered will be very much appreciated!

Haven't sailed the miracle yet but the D/W and I love the aft balconies. You pay a little more for them but you have a wider view of the ocean and the wind isn't as bad there. I personally think the ride is much better in the aft balconies too.
Happy Sailings
Tim

I have sailed on the Miracle twice. Second time we were in the Aft Cabins.
I highly recomend them. Great view and no wind. Also very little foot traffic in the area so its always quiet. Only draw back, its a long walk to the front of the ship. Personally I like the long walk, great exercise
We sailed the Miracle last March loved it so much, we booked again for this December 29th NYE Cruise (same itinerary). This has been my favorite ship so far! I can tell you about the food it was very great. You will definitely enjoy her. We have signed up for the Chefs Dinner looking forward to it.

Miracle is our favorite ship in the Carnival fleet, so far. We haven't been on the Dream but that is coming up in six weeks.
The thing I like most about Miracle is the fact that it has only one dining room. A second dining room midships really messes up your being able to walk from one end of the ship to the other on any deck you choose. On the Miracle, however, you can move around freely without bumping into obstructions that cause you to go up or down just to get past the middle.

Glad to hear all of the positive things about the Miracle! I will be sailing with some friends on it March 11-19th, 2011! I am sooo excited as I have not been on a cruise in almost 12 years! Needless to say...I was...well...too young to really remember much. haha
Hurricane Tomas caused a slight problem...We did our ports backwards, big deal
Pro's:
1) Much more room to move around as opposed to Valor and Liberty cruises. No problem at any time getting in a pool, hot tub, or a lawn chair on the deck.
2.) Free drinks for an hour in the theatre for EVERYONE on the last day.
3.) Malcolm, CD, not bad.
4.) Greg Gallello (2007 Canadian Idol contestant) in the piano bar MAN! Can he play! I was feeling a little Bruce Hornsby, That's Just The Way It Is and he NAILED it! He gives a little personal touch to you for the evening when you request songs (and tip accordingly) I think $5 per song is the norm which is what I did the first time there and was so impressed with the entire eveing that I threw a $20 at him to play Phil Colins, True Colors for the girlfriend on the second night.
Cons:
1.) Dance Club was pretty much garbage according to my musical tastes. There was "80's HOUR" which was delayed starting (DJ was just playing other stuff) then only played Madonna, Holiday, and only one other 80's tune and that was it. It was like the DJ wanted nothing to do with 80's music IMHO. Classic Rock music was seriously lacking as well. 90% of the time I seen the Achy Breaky dance being performed to today's dance and rap music. I was not able to get out and enjoy / dance to a single song on the entire cruise and I was there over 1/2 the nights.
2.) Buffet drink selections were lemonade and ice tea starting at noon. Add apple and orance juice for breakfast. NO FRUIT PUNCH (Second cruise for me with none).
That's it in a nutshell. Due to my brother's upcoming wedding in 2011 and us building another home in 2012, worse case scenerio I will be back on Carnival in 2013. Hopefully sooner though.
