We are now choosing our excursions and have them mostly chosen. However, we would like to at least SEE sting rays up close, but not actually have to swim or get too far into the water to see them. The excursions here seem to combine the snorkel with the sting rays, but we are not interested in snorkelling to see them.
For this stop we are considering the "DISCOVER GRAND TURK & GOVERNOR'S BEACH" excursion. Is there any way that we might see sting rays on this excursion, OR have time to make a side stop somewhere to see some sting rays?
Thanx,
Krunch

There is one tour at Grand turk that you can wade in the water and see the stingrays and feed them too. Gibbs Cay and Stingray Adventure (something like that) is a excellent tour. Gibbs Cay is a small cay just off of the island (visible from the ship) and you have two or so hours to swim, snorkle, suntan, and discover the stingrays. I love the stingrays!!!!!
I did it in January and it was great. The boat ride is very short and you can even just walk around and enjoy the small cay!!!!!
