Do you buy ship specific souvenirs? If so, what do you collect?

I too have the pins from most of the ships, but you can also get ship specific T-shirts, and lots of other stuff. You could spend a fortune in the gift shop if you wanted to.

Go to the Cruise Lines Web site and look for online shop or something like that as some cruise lines allow you to purchase items directly.

Truth is I have never even felt the slightest urge to buy a ship souvenir, I mean their are usually expensive and I find that my money is better severed spent at the Bar

Also a little booze on the last day when they have the best prices...
We did the $100 Certifcate on our last cruise so we should have a $100 on- board credit for our cruise on the Splendor in November...
Will have to figure out what we want to purchase...

On my first cruise in 1983 I bought a key chain from The Festivale gift shop. On one side it has the logo and the other side has the names of the whole fleet at that time. Festivale, Carnivale, Mardi Gras and Tropicale. it has been on my keys every day since then.Not in too bad condition for the use it gets. I have not bought much since then.

We've STARTED collecting the pins (I threw out the first five, not thinking I'd use them!!-----luckily there is a person on Ebay who makes 1 inch buttons with ship names, so I now have all 13 pins on a hat). I also print out a picture of the ship with its name and the date of the cruise onto an iron on sheet. I then iron it onto the back of a tee shirt titled OUR CARNIVAL CRUISES. I can fit 2 more pictures on the shirt----any more and we'll have to gain weight and get larger sized tees (not a problem since I am ADDICTED to the warm chocolate melting cake and order it every night)!

I buy Key chains with the ship on it. I bought a nice one that had a small replica of the ship inside the key chain with water. It was cute. I'm a key chain fanatic.

What is the $100 certificate?

The alcohol prices on ship on our last cruise went up after we left our last port (last chance to buy in port). I thought I would buy alcohol early this time, but the tee shirts etc. are cheaper on the last day.

I really think that I will start collecting specific ship shaped magnets? I think that is a pretty inexpensive sort of souvenir. We bought one from our last cruise on the Costa Atlantica and it makes me smile everytime I go to the fridge. I am remembering the rare occasion when someone pampered me for a change! Cruiseship specific Tshirts are also fun. We picked up 3 (one for each of us) on our last. Who couldn't use more tshirts?

We have 7 Model Ships sitting on my entertainment center. My husband buys one when we go on a new ship. It actually is kind of neat to see each one and think of the memories.

On the Dream in April we bough the Porthole Picture. It hangs in our living room. I love looking at it.

On my 2nd cruise on the Legend, I saw and bought the 3inch ship magnet, but didn't even think off looking on the Sensation while I was on there. So I'll either have to get one somewhere else, or said again on that ship. Like you, I smile everytime I see it.

They have several different shapes/types of ships magnets--I buy three magnets (clay with ship/name, ship, ship with ship details). I also get the ship ornament (not the gold one) and if I am on a ship I have not been on I get a spoon and pen for my former boss at work. I was panickng on my last Liberty cruise two weeks ago cuz I couldn't find the magnets on the stand, but then when I went in the next time and looked on one of the counters I found them *BG*.....Now I have two Liberty ornaments and magnets. I only wish I was able to get a ships magnet for the Holiday, but back in 1991 I didn't think about collecting fridge magnets as I still lived at home and the fridge was considered a No Magnet zone.....

I will also buy rum cakes and sometimes a bottle of booze.....
