Pride out of Baltimore? Help

I want to go out of Baltimore but not sure after reading some posts and reviews. I read that the outside decks are closed most of the trip
because of wind. We were thinking to go around april. I have never
left out of a cold port and not sure if we would like not bieng able to go outside all the time. What do you do on a ship for 2 sea days if the decks are closed. I think that would drive me crazy. I want to go out of baltimore because we can drive to the port in an hour. I really need info, please give me advice.

Decks would only be closed if you get rough seas or high winds. You don't get that every cruise, depends on the weather. You could have that anytime. We went in March had no problems. It was cool the first day and the last day. We were out on our balcony every day. It was colder in Jan when we went out of Miami. We have never been on a cruise that they closed the outside decks and we have been in some reall bad weather with 30 ft waves, then you don't want to be out on the outside decks. we always find something to do.
Spirit class they can close the roof on the lido deck if it rains or gets to cold. That may be what you heard about.
You should not have a problem in April.
We have been on the Pride 2 times and are going again in Sept. We love we don't have to fight the airlines.

I was on the Pride in June and the upper decks were closed for part of one day due to high winds, so this possibility can exist in the Summer as well. We also chose the Pride because we could drive to the port and found that Baltimore is an easy port to get in and out of. The Pride was well worth trip so I wouldn't worry too much about the weather. There was plenty for us to do on the ship even when the outer deck was closed.

We really like the idea of not having to fly.

We did the Pride last August and last March too. We did have some wind in March. The pool was covered and everyone enjoyed the ship. We went to Port Canaveral and it was a hot day in March. We toured the space center and loved it. Getting to and from the Pride from Phila was an easy time. Not flying will probably keep us coming back to Baltimore. Enjoy your cruise!
