Casino on Carnival Dream

I have been told that the casino on the Carnival Dream is somewhat small compared to other ships. I would think that with the size of the ship and the total passengers aboard it would be bigger. Anybody have any idea of the number of slots it has? Thanks.

Don't know the exact number of slots, but we were aboard the Dream during spring break with 4,500 pax, and we had no trouble getting on a table game, or finding a slot machine that we liked. The casino seemed large enough to me. I'm sure that Carnival designs thier casinos in proportion to the size of thier ships, since the casino is a huge moneymaker for them.

Jamman,

Thanks. I would have thought that to. Wonder what the other folks were thinking that posted that? Oh well, 1 or a 1,000 slots I'll still lose my fortune :-)

There were 4500 passengers on the dream???? I didn't think she was that big. Did the ship seem crowded? How about the pool / deck chairs?

I'm booked to sail in January.

Jamman,

Where did you get the great ticker "Born to Cruise?" It is wonderful.

Sistagoldenhair - The Dream can hold up to around 4,500 pax with all berths filled. Normal double occupancy is around 3,900. On Holiday sailings, and Spring break cruises, they will max out. Though there were some lines during breakfast and lunch at the gathering, they were'nt that bad. Deck chairs are a problem on any ship, but we had no problems with getting chairs at Serenity.

Thom - A friend from another board made it up for me years ago. The ship is actually the old Holiday!!

Maybe the casino on the Dream seemed smaller because of its configuration. Instead of the interior promenade deck running alongside the casino on the starboard side on the Conquest class ships, on the Dream the interior walkway to the back of the ship cuts the casino in half.
