Carnival Magic Trans Atlantic October 28, 2001 Barcelona to Galveston, TX 16 Day Cruise has to be one of the best upcoming new cruises. We are researching and just about to book this cruise. History: We did the T/A Barcelona to Galveston, TX on RCL 15 Day Voyager Of The Seas 11/28/08 and loved it. Truly a quality way to cruise. So many ports and so many days at sea.
Anyone else planning this awesome cruise on the new Carnival Magic?
Were on the first sailing from Galveston in November 2011.
You will have John Heald as CD and Ken as MD in the dining room. Thats a great combo right there.

I'm also booked on the first Mariner of the Seas Transatlantic to Galveston so there will only be 3 days between them. I may reconsider the TA, but I have such a good deal.

Sounds like the way to go Snoozeman.. .It is really a hard choice between the Magic or the Mariner for us. We have a date conflict trying to make some family event date changes. I would think you got a good deal. . I browsed your Travel site. . .good ta rate no doubt.
Hey, did you see the post I put up a few days back with the photo of the two Scottish Gents I met on the last Voyager of the Seas cruise. They were all kilted up for formal night. I read you are quite involved in Texas Scottish events ie; the recent Scottish Festival in Arlington I believe.
We also had a conflict on the Magic/Mariner. Wound up booking the Mariner because of the itinerary--but we had a terrific time last year on the Dream's TA . Either should be a great choice (I hope).

when you did this trip before how was the weather? did you go in oct.nov.? I found it online for may departure100 0.00 cheaper, I found it after I booked the october one of course. I'm worried about the sunshine. I guess the trip is long enough that I can wait a week or maybe it will just be five days in cool weather. I'm going mostly because i like all the entertainment on the ship anyway. excuse my typing errors I'm just to lazy to hit the captitol key and don't know how to use spell check. So tell me what you found that we all should see sightseeing. Cindy
