Default Carnival Dream's Eastern switched to Western

Tropical Weather Update
August 28, 2010 – 12:30PM
We are closely monitoring the two tropical systems (Danielle and Earl) that have formed in the Atlantic. Rest assured, all of our ships will continue to operate at a safe distance from the storms.
The Carnival Dream will now operate a Western itinerary visiting Cozumel, Belize, Isla Roatan and Costa Maya. All of Carnival’s other ships are operating the scheduled itineraries.
We will update this information on Carnival.com if any new information becomes available. Most importantly, we look forward to welcoming our guests onboard this weekend.

Looks like the next 10 to 15 days will be interesting for east coast cruisers.

Looks like a few more (RCCL, HAL, NCL) also making deviations from the storms. We sail on the Carnival Dream Sep 25th. Hope all is clear by then

Carnival Pride and Victory have made some changes, too. We cruise in 8 days and I don't really give a damn where we sail.

"The Carnival Pride will change it's itinerary now visiting Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Freeport. In addition, the Carnival Victory will change the sequence of ports and will cancel St. Maarten. "

Zydecocruiser,

I'm with you. Any day at sea is better than any day on dry land. But I do feel for those folks who might have been on their 1st cruise or those who really wanted to go to the Eastern Carib. If it was the only week of vacation they had this year it would be a disappointment. That being said I sure hope everybody has a good time regardless of where they go.

Personally I love the Western ports better then Eastern the Western have so many more shore excursions especially Mexico and Belize which have Mayan ruins in addition to all the water activities you will find on the Eastern ships. I also love sea days. I hope people go with the flow and have a great time even with different ports. I too had a change in Itinerary on the Hurricane Dean cruise I was on, I was really sad we didn't get to Belize and Costa Maya but I loved Key West! The most important factor is that your ship is concerned with your safety, if you were on a land resort and a storm hit it would be far worse, so make the best of it everyone and let us know how your cruises were when you return!
