Hi, I am new to crusing and this will be me and my hubby first cruise. We were planning to sail Fantasy because of the dates that we needed, but I found that Glory will ship out of a closer port to our home. Which ship is better? what are the pros and cons to each ship?
Best food/Best Entertainment/Best pools ect....????
I have the choice of Fantasy in late July 2011 or Glory in May 2011 going to the Bahamas NEED HELP PLEASE!!!
Glory is newer, bigger, and has more food options.
Also has a nice aft pool that is not available on Fantasy.
That would be my choice if the time is good.
The Fantasy was my first cruise and we loved it. We did have a cat 12 and that was a huge reason why we loved the cruise. We also thought the food was very good. I think it's a great ship for a starter.

Carnival - Freedom 2011
I've only sailed twice - on Fantasy both times! It was a great experience x 2.
The ship may show its age a bit (don't we all? ) but it's still a lovely vessel. Not too big - easy to get around on. Plus there is the Serenity deck - adults only - it that's important to you. Glory may have that as well.
For a first experience, it was great. Having said that, I'm eager to sail other ships.
Sounds like you can't go wrong either way. Let us know what you decide and how you liked it.

Hi everyone, I am about to book my firts cruise on the Glory for May of 2011. I want a balcony room but which one do I choose? The midship balcony or the Aft-view Extended Balcony that is in the back?
I am worried about having motion sickness. No matter what type of boat I get on, it happens. I want a nice view, but do not want to feel the vibration, motion, or anything that may happen during my stay on the ship.
The midship balcony is on the 3rd deck and the Aft-view Extended Balcony is on the 7th deck. Which balcony would be best for me?
The carnival planner stated that I will not feel any motion or vibration or hear any noises on the Aft-view Extended Balcony-Is ths true????
I want to be able to enjoy and relax in my room without feeling sick if the motion does happen, which balcony if anyone knows, please help!!!
Take the mid ship balcony cabin on the lower deck. I stayed aft and you feel much more vibration and movement though the views are better. If your prone to motion sickness you want to be mid ship lower decks are best. I'm very prone to sea sickness so I take a non drowsy Dramamine or Bonine each night before bed starting the day before the cruise I haven't had any problems. I haven't sailed the fantasy but I liked the Glory by the way. Happy sails!
