We went on a boat called the Yellow Bird Party Boat, which served rum drinks, it was AWESOME, one of the best excursions I've ever been on. The boat is 3 levels with the top level being open. We had a very fun crowd on our boat - tons of people, older folks, kids, and every age in-between dancing to the music, everyone downing rum runners. On the trip back, the captain even let 2 women drive the boat while their friends took pictures. I would do that trip agian in a minute!
I heard some of the cruise lines are dropping the Yellow Bird due to its excessive drinking. Rumors are the crew drink and can be irresponsible. Like previous poster said letting passengers steer the boat? Imagine what would happen if a wreck occurred while one of them were at the helm. I went on it a couple of years ago and people were literally throwing up on the dock as they got off. I wont be going again if available.

I was suprised the crew let the women steer the boat, but it was only for about half a minute until the pictures were taken. It seemed harmless at the time since we were in open water not near anything. But the crew drinking??? I didnt see any of that, but it could have easily happened. There wasn't anyone puking off the boat the day I went. We had one couple celebrating there 50th wedding anniversary with a bunch of family - everyone was dancing.
I guess it just depends on how rowdy the group is.
I was on a pub-crawl in Key West and saw some nasty behavior - 1 group of ladies actually left the tour and returned to the ship on their own.
