Default Baltimore port information

Hi,
I am taking Carnival Pride from Baltimore,MD in Feb/Mar 2011.
I think the parking is $15/night, about $105 total ?
On the other hand I have hotel voucher from priceline (not sure which places I can use).

Are there hotels around Baltimore port that let me park for the week free and provide shuttle to the port?

I am hoping I can use the priceline hotel coupon there.

Thanks,
rob

We had taken that cruise last year and parked at the cruise lot----they were very well organized as compared to New York and New Orleans (that we've also used). However, if you wish to come in the night before, relax in a hotel and not worry about traffic the day of the cruise a "park and cruise" motel is terriffic. Here is a site for locating these motels for different areas, just type in the city and dates you want. We found in many cases that it winds up the same or cheaper than parking in the lot.

Hi,
We decided to stay with friends the night before and park at the port.
Has anyone gone on Pride recently (last year or so) from Baltimore?
My cruise is this Sunday.
What time should I arrive at the port? 11 or 12 ?
What's the earliest time they let people in ?
Trying to balance between arriving too early and waiting in line vs coming very late.

Thanks,
Robert

As expensive as it is parking at a port, there's some mental security knowing you are already there. The offsites sometimes are hard to find when you don't know the territory. I usually park at the port for that reason only. Of course I'm not talking about being on a very long cruise.

My husband and I took the Pride out of Baltimore last Summer and we parked our car at the port. Baltimore port parking was actually GREAT. Very easy to get in and out of and the parking lot is situated right at the dock, so no shuttles required to get between car and ship. As we live in MD, we drove straight from home, about a 2 hour drive and got to the port about 10AM. We ended up having to wait in a line with other cars for about 15 minutes before they would let us start parking. I could see that it was due to getting most of the returning cruise passengers out of the lot. 11AM or Noon would be fine, that just seemed to be when most of the crowd was coming in. I never noticed any major back up with cars arriving. It seemed to flow quite smoothly so you should be OK.
